Our Approach
Clarity Before Contact. Alignment Before Commitment.
A search is a sequence of judgments, not a volume exercise. Each stage below exists to reduce uncertainty — for the organization making the appointment and for the executive considering it.
The Process
Six stages, each with a defined purpose
The process is adapted to the engagement. Some stages are handled differently where the role, the organization, or the confidentiality requirements call for it.
01
Mandate Understanding
Before beginning a search, establish the role’s business purpose, leadership scope, required experience, reporting structure, location, compensation parameters where available, and decision-making process.
02
Search Definition
Agree on the relevant candidate profile, evaluation criteria, target talent pool, confidentiality requirements, and scope of the engagement.
03
Targeted Executive Engagement
Approach relevant executives with concise, personalized communication that explains why their experience may be relevant.
We avoid generic mass outreach and misleading claims about the opportunity.
04
Candidate Discussion
Provide candidates with the information available and appropriate to share. Answer reasonable questions about the role, reporting line, location, compensation, client relationship, and recruitment process.
Where information is confidential, we explain the applicable limits rather than inventing answers.
05
Candidate Evaluation
Assess relevant experience, leadership scope, business outcomes, and alignment with the agreed requirements.
Appropriate consent is obtained before presenting or sharing candidate information with the client.
06
Interview and Selection
Coordinate next steps in line with the agreed process. Clarify who makes the final hiring decision and communicate updates when available.
Confidentiality and Candidate Information
Information is handled deliberately
Candidate information is handled according to applicable privacy requirements.
Sensitive information is not automatically shared with prospective clients.
Candidates should understand how their information will be used.
Consent is obtained where required before candidate submission.
Confidentiality cannot be treated as an absolute guarantee in every circumstance.
Next Step
A clearer process for a consequential decision
If you are considering an appointment and would like to understand how a search would be structured, the first conversation is a straightforward place to start.
